Alison Lumley is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist.  She was granted a Master's degree upon completion of her four and a half year program at the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin.  Since her graduation in 2007, she has worked at both an acupuncture clinic and at a spa where she had success in treating such conditions as allergies, acute and chronic pain, anxiety, depression, headaches, menstrual disorders, insomnia, menopause, digestive disorders, infertility, arthritis and the common cold.  She has also had success in treating skin using Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture (i.e. reducing or eliminating fine lines,  smoothing out skin tone, defining jaw line, improving acne and rosacea).

             Before beginning her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Alison explored different interests.  She enjoyed a twenty-year career in ballet and, after high school, moved to Berlin, Germany to train at a renowned ballet school.  In 2000, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas.  She is a singer songwriter and enjoys playing guitar, cooking and practicing yoga.

              Alison has great respect for and is constantly amazed by the healing response potentiated by Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She loves practicing this medicine and is very happy to be joining the Zygmont team.
